Carlos Conceicao Antonio

Carlos Conceição António finished the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1995. He obtained the “Habilitation” as Professor of Mechanical Engineering in 2005 from University of Porto where is a Full Professor and coordinator of Mathematics group of Mechanical Engineering Department of Faculty of Engineering. He is a member of Research Unit LAETA - Associated Laboratory for Energy, Transports and Aeronautics (INEGI) and coordinator of the numerical methods group. He has published four books, around 100 SCI/SCOPUS-indexed papers in international peer- reviewed journals and 260 papers/oral presentations in international congresses. His current research interests include Process Simulation, Composite Structures, Bioengineering, Reliability-based-Design, Optimal Design, Evolutionary Algorithms and Artificial Neural Networks.
